Mexico City Getaway
September 3 - September 6
Considered one of the world’s most culturally vibrant and diverse cities, Mexico City keeps evolving without losing sight of its history, combining colorful traditions and century-old practices with modern-day living.
Join us in this unique adventure across Mexico City’s most beautiful and emblematic landmarks as we experience this metropolis running through its streets and natural surroundings.
On this trip we will experience the cultural and historical diversity and outstanding cuisine of Mexico City, as well as the breathtaking landscapes that surround it. While in the city we will run through Chapultepec Park, one of the biggest and most beautiful city parks in the Western hemisphere. We will also travel to a traditional “Chinampa” in Xochimilco; an area known for its network of water canals used for transportation and agriculture by the Aztecs. Here we will be hosted by Pachoa, a community of local agriculturists, for a one of a kind cultural and gastronomic experience.
At night, we will explore a beautifully designed route through the most vibrant neighborhoods and emblematic spots of the city.
On the next day we will head out to the Xinantecatl Volcano, the 4th highest peak in the country, for a 18km, high-altitude run along its ridges and into its crater, submerging ourselves into its ancient, extraterrestrial landscapes. Back in Mexico City we will engage in a very special Mayan Temazcal (sweat lodge) ceremony, before a celebratory dinner including well-deserved mexican beer and tacos.
On our last day in Mexico City we will hit the streets on a 10 km historic sightseeing run that will take us by the city’s most iconic landmarks and cultural venues.
Each day will be accompanied by local and authentic cuisine, as well as yoga and meditation sessions led by our expert instructors, who will take us on a spiritual journey of inner peace and self-knowledge.
